We have noticed that if a 3 1/2 year old has a considerable amount of main beam extending past the G3 at 3 1/2, about half the time he produces both G4's by age 4 or 5. Remember, the deer's skeleton may not be done growing by 3 1/2. This may not be the case for other ranches across Texas. I agree with this article except on the topic of culling 3 1/2 yr old eights.
