Glassed deer all weekend in Williamson County in both Florence and Liberty Hill. The deer herds are larger than normal. The whitetail are all showing rib cages due to severe weight loss. The animals had to take longer periods of rest to jump fences and cross pastures due to lack of energy. The mature bucks are depressing with only decent racks, and very narrow bodies. I feed and put water out year round and have found over the high price corn, alfalfa pellets and cubes, that water is what's bring them in right now. Jerico
