I live in N.C. and the temperature during this deer season was warm. I think only 8 days from October til January 2 were below 30 degrees. I saw just a few deer and only one with horns. I have talked to several other hunters in my area and the ones that did shoot a buck the necks had not swelled up. Is it possible the the weather has caused a later or reduced rut? The deer seem to come out only at night about 9:30PM. I have game cameras.

I live and hunt in Summers County, West Virginia. I live about a mile from Pipestem State Park where there are a lot of big bucks (a 7 to 12 point whitetail is a big buck for around here). I was wondering what would be the best thing to plant for a early fall into winter. I've hunted constantly and I know there are big bucks around here, but they never come off of the state park. I am open to any suggestions.
